WWE.com has updated the list of Royal Rumble participants. The list now has 34 superstars. Cody Rhodes has been removed from the list. As we have been mentioning for weeks now, please be sure to join us this Sunday here at WrestleHeat.com for free, live coverage of the pay-per-view. Also, be here all weekend long as we continue to break news on rumors and spoilers leading up to one of the biggest WWE events of the year.
As of right now these are the current Royal Rumble names in the “biggest Royal Rumble ever” (except with more jobbers than ever!): Alberto Del Rio, Big Show, Chris Masters, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Darren Young, David Hart Smith, David Otunga, Drew McIntyre, Ezekiel Jackson, Heath Slater, Husky Harris, Jack Swagger, John Cena, John Morrison, JTG, Justin Gabriel, Kane, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry, Mason Ryan, Michael McGillicutty, Primo, R-Truth, Rey Mysterio, Santino Marella, Sheamus, Ted DiBiase, Tyson Kidd, Vladimir Kozlov, Wade Barrett, William Regal, Yoshi Tatsu, Zack Ryder.
Six spots remain open as of tonight (Friday, January 28). As WrestleHeat.com reported earlier, expect a lot of surprises for this Sunday’s pay-per-view as — as of this past week, anyway — at least two legends and one big name are expected to be at the PPV to bring the “shock value” to the annual event. You can read the possible “shock value” names by reading some of our news stories below — not to mention blog entries that have been posted by our staff here at the site.
