The following are backstage notes from last night’s TNA Wrestling Bound for Glory pay-per-view, courtesy of F4WOnline.com:
— Despite strong advertising for the show in the local market, only about 2500 tickets were sold to the show. Much of the seats were described as being heavily papered.
— As you probably know by now, Hulk Hogan turned babyface last night, teaming up with Sting. There is talk of the two teaming up once again on pay-per-view to take on Ric Flair and an undisclosed partner, but that’s not confirmed yet.
— The main event ended in controversy with Kurt Angle using the ropes for leverage to retain the title from Bobby Roode. F4WOnline says that there’s a lot of buyer’s remorse backstage, feeling that they should have put the title on Roode last night, especially since Angle is injured. However, there is a feeling that he may be getting a rematch at a future Impact Wrestling broadcast or the next pay-per-view. There is also talk of Jeff Hardy being next in line to get a title shot, too.
