CM Punk’s Contract & Theme Song News, Today’s Wrestling Birthdays

  • Share

If you missed SmackDown! this past Friday, WWE’s on-screen COO Triple H revealed that he has signed CM Punk to a new contract, which is the reason he was able to appear on RAW Monday night without any fuss despite his contract ending and his name not being allowed to be dropped on TV.

For those of you asking about CM Punk’s new theme song, Cult of Personality will be used regularly by Punk from here on out. He used the theme at this weekend’s live events. As noted previously, he had Vince McMahon shell out extra money to buy the rights to the theme song instead of using a generic, WWE-generated theme song. Punk used the same theme song during his latter run with ROH.

In today’s birthdays, John Laurinaitis — who has been seen live on television along with Vince McMahon in recent weeks — turns 46-years-old while ECW original Kid Kash turns 42. Happy birthday to them both.
