Eric Bischoff posted a status on Facebook today, commenting on Impact Wrestling falling in the ratings last Thursday, saying that the show did well among key demographics, including Spike’s coveted male 18-49 demo. Here is what he had to say: “What the 10%’ers and the dirtsites that feed them don’t want to report: Per Spike TV, Impact Wrestling was the #1 cable show in its time period among M18-49 despite under-delivering its STD average among key demos and TNA increased from its Jail (rpt) lead-in by +129% in M18-49 (.78), with an additional +6% gain in the following quarter hour. TNA peaked in the 10:15p quarter with a .99 in M18-49.”
Last Thursday’s show on June 2nd drew a 1.1 cable rating on Spike, down 8% from the previous week’s 1.19. However, among total viewership, the show drew 1.45 million viewers, down a significant 15% from the week prior’s 1.7 million viewers. However, the show was against a heavily viewed NBA Finals on ABC, which drew 15.5 million viewers and a 6.5 demo in adults 18-49, a majority of which was the male-driven demo that Impact Wrestling draws.
