With regard to Gail Kim telling all of her followers repeatedly over the past couple of days that she quit WWE, I am told that is indeed correct. For those of you who asked, she was not fired and is simply saying she quit.
A WWE source told me exclusively that her three-year $100,000 per-year contract that she signed with WWE in 2008 is set to expire later this month and decided that it was time to call it quits before WWE “beat her to it,” as my source said. It should be noted that many are expecting her to appear in TNA once her no-compete cause is done, which is usually about 90 days.
Kim decided to leave TNA Wrestling in August of 2008 after her contract expired and signed with WWE expecting to get a big push within the company. Although she was used much more than her latter run with the company, I am told she never felt that she received the big push that WWE promised her she would get. She was also not happy with the way the company was treating the Divas division as a joke.
