The two-year contracts of Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan with TNA Wrestling come to an end in early January of 2012. Right now, it is unknown whether one or both will stay with the company when their contracts expire, but the feeling backstage as that both Hogan and Bischoff come as a “package deal,” a source told me. It should be noted that many backstage note that Bischoff is the workhorse while Hogan doesn’t do much of anything and gets paid a big price tag.
Many of the originals within the company also feel that there is no need for them there as their name recognition brought an initial jump in the ratings when Hogan debuted, but then the ratings have since dwindled to roughly the same exact ratings that they were at before they got there and promised to take things to the “next level”. At one time, Hogan predicted that the Monday episode that made his debut on would do a 3.0 rating, but it did exactly half of that on January 4, 2011.
