Last night’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, the final show before this Sunday’s WrestleMania 27 pay-per-view, drew a strong overall rating last night (3/28/11). The show overall scored a 3.8 cable rating with an overall audience of 5.84 million viewers. However, the bigger story was the 12% jump the show took from the first hour to the second — the first hour did a 3.56 cable rating with 5.45 million.
The second hour, however, featuring the ending of the Undertaker-Shawn Michaels-Triple H segment as well as, of course, the last segment featuring the Rock-John Cena-The Miz did a 4.06 cable rating with 6.23 million viewers. WWE has been trying to reach toward that benchmark 4.0 rating since the WrestleMania season began and have come close to reaching it, but didn’t get the rating in any hour during recent editions of the shows except last night.
Last week’s show drew a 3.3 cable rating with 5.1 million viewers. This week’s edition of the show was up 13% in the households and also 13% in the total viewers.
