John Cena is continuing to say on his Twitter account that he won’t be making an appearance at tomorrow night’s TLC pay-per-view. On the social media account, he noted that he gave his PPV chance “to someone who deserves it.” He added, “I would do it again if I had the chance.”
Cena, however, is participating at a live event tonight in Uniondale, New York. Cena notes that he will be at Monday’s RAW taping just 24-hours after the TLC PPV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
While Cena may be surprising his followers on Twitter, we noted earlier in the week that there were several ideas pitched for Cena to take part in the pay-per-view, including being made the special guest referee in the US Championship match between Zack Ryder and Dolph Ziggler, as well as the possibility of making the WWE Championship triple threat match a fatal fourway.
Considering that Cena is arguably the top drawing babyface in the company, if he is swerving his fans on Twitter and will actually be making an appearance on the show despite what he is letting on, this does a disservice for the company as they could potentially be losing buyrates by doing so. At the same time, the company could easily announce a PPV appearance before tomorrow’s event.
