There is currently an article on where WWE Champion John Cena compares today’s WWE PG programming and its audience in contrast to the Attitude Era in the late 90s and the early 2000s.
“The Attitude Era was when the fans became teens,” Cena said, defending the transition to PG that he helped orchastrate “The Attitude Era was really generation-specific. I’m not taking anything away from that — it was 18-to-35-year-old males, and now we’re a broader audience, really more like it was in the ’80s.”

Confirmed for tonight’s WWE SmackDown! broadcast on SyFy include Sin Cara vs Chavo Guerrero in a rematch from Over the Limit, Cody Rhodes vs Daniel Bryan, Kane vs Great Khali, Ezekiel Jackson vs Heath Slater, Alicia Fox & Tamina vs Kaitylin and AJ, and Christian vs Sheamus vs Mark Henry in a #1 contendership match for the World Title.
