JR Calls Matt Hardy Suicide Stunt ‘Bad Publicity’, TNA Re-Introducing Jeff Hardy Character

Jim Ross called the Matt Hardy stunt last night an “embarrassingly bad publicity stunt by all accounts” when he was asked about it on Twitter today. As noted before, the storyline excuse Hardy came up with was that it was the storyline death of his alter ego, “Matthew Hardy.”

TNA Wrestling is promoting a new five-part series that will begin airing on Friday to re-introduce the Jeff Hardy character and show what he’s been up to since he last left the company.

“This Friday at IMPACTWRESTLING.com – exclusive footage of Jeff Hardy! The superstar speaks for the first time before his return to IMPACT WRESTLING next Thursday (9/8) on Spike TV,” a statement on the website says.
