Kane once again appeared at a Saturday live event last night during a Street Fight match between John Cena and The Miz in Long Island, New York. He once again came out to the ring during the match to chokeslam Cena and almost have The Miz win the match, but Cena was able to kick out, gain momentum, clear the ring of Kane, and hit the AA on Miz and win the match-up.
Mick Foley appeared at the live event last night and worked as a special guest referee in a match between CM Punk vs Alberto Del Rio. Foley ended up introducing Mr. Socko to Ricardo Rodriguez during the bout.
Promising FCW developmental star Dean Ambrose also returned last night and renewed his rivalry with Daniel Bryan. Bryan ended up winning the match, but the two have received great reviews for their series of matches.
Two matches were booked on last night’s show including a fatal fourway WWE Championship match featuring CM Punk, John Cena, The Miz, and Alberto Del Rio but the match ended up beign scrapped. In addition, Mark Henry vs Big Show was advertised, but that didn’t happen, either. Instead, Show ended up defeating Jack Swagger in a match.
There were reports at Tuesday’s SmackDown! tapings that Henry may have tweaked his ankle and was seen limping to the backstage area, but we do not have an update on his condition. He’ll be facing Big Show for the World Championship at the TLC pay-per-view tonight.
