The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that WWE could possibly run more shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City due to the possible cancellation of the 2011-2012 NBA season. The Observer notes that the arena is “desperate to fill dates” with more than 40 dates being possibly open due to the ongoing NBA season turmoil. WWE will be a running Survivor Series there next Sunday and another show on December 27.

The inaugural episode of UFC’s debut on the FOX broadcasting television network did relatively well last night, drawing 4.64 million viewers. While the total viewership isn’t strong, it did draw a 2.4 rating among adults 18-49, which is a very respectable number for a Saturday night — which has long been considered a dead night for television for years now.

UPDATE: The UFC on FOX ratings above were the initial ratings and have changed due to the nature of live broadcasting. In the final ratings, as stated in a press release released by FOX, the one-hour broadcast drew 5.7 million viewers with a 3.0 demo in adults 18-49, a 3.2 demo in adults 18-34, a 4.3 demo in men 18-34, and a 4.0 demo in men 18-49.
