The Rock posted a tweet on Twitter today, talking about a new Survivor Series poster that has apparently been released by WWE. The photo features the Survivor Series logo on top with photos of John Cena and The Rock side-by-side. Underneath the photo of the WrestleMania 28 opponents is the tag line “The Rock and John Cena join forces. Never before and never again.”
The Rock posted the following on Twitter: “I’m not waiting til Wrestlemania 28… I’m coming to Survivor Series in November and ELECTRIFYING New York City like never before! TEAM BRING IT – BOOTS TO ASSES.”
As noted previously, WWE has been working on the Rock for him to wrestle at the November pay-per-view. He will appear, as confirmed before, but it’s unknown at this time if the former WWE Champion will be wrestling. Previously, WWE posted rather misleading advertisements in NYC promoting Rock’s return to the ring for the “first time in eight years” but at that time, they never had Rock secured to wrestle. It’s unknown if WWE has secured a deal for him to actually wrestle in the ring, but judging by Rock’s tweet and the new poster, they are certainly more than teasing it.
