Following our report that Randy Orton suffered a concussion during SmackDown!’s overseas tour last weekend — and then subsequently missed in-ring action on both RAW and SmackDown! (airing tonight) this week — Orton has posted an update on his Twitter account: “About to take an Impact test. It will determine if I can be cleared to fight Christian, after receiving a concussion. Wish me luck.”
As noted in our initial story, WWE has been very careful with their wrestlers as of late, taking concussions seriously. If the testing results shows that Orton is still suffering from the blow he received during the overseas tour, WWE will likely either cancel the match outright, replace Orton in the match, or having Orton compete in a very short match. It should be interesting to see that if Orton is indeed suffering from a concussion, and WWE finds out the results before the pay-per-view, if they tell fans on their website that changes in the match may take place.
