The Reason Why WWE Pulled Kevin Nash vs CM Punk Match From PPV

  • Share

Although WWE announced last night on RAW that Kevin Nash was going to face CM Punk at the upcoming Night of Champions PPV, PWInsider.com reports that WWE was never going to have Nash wrestle in the first place. He is being used to further the angle, but the plan was never for him to actually wrestle Punk, likely due to his limited ring work.

Nash went to do physicals prior to his return and the company decided not to take the risk of having Nash take bumps in the ring based on the results of his physical. The feeling is that Nash has medical issues that will prevent him from next month’s PPV, but he will be able to wrestle at future shows. The decision to put Triple H in a match with Punk was actually made Monday night before the live show. The feeling is that Punk will win the match, but that can always change.
