F4WOnline.com is reporting that WWE is trying their best to have Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson wrestle four months earlier than expected at the WWE Survivor Series PPV in November. As noted before, Rock is scheduled to be part of the actual PPV in New York City and many believe he was instrumental in the tickets being sold out in about 90 minutes as he was prominently displayed in the advertisements for the event. However, he wasn’t scheduled to compete despite misleading advertising that he would be returning to the ring for the first time in “eight years.”
Previously, he was scheduled to take part in a segment or vignette to advance his storyline with John Cena leading to their match at WrestleMania 28, but reports suggest that WWE wants him to wrestle as well. As noted previously, there is also talk of Rock doing a best of three series match that would take place throughout the span of 2012 after WrestleMania. All of it is still very much up in the air.
