Within the past week, WWE has renamed their October pay-per-view in San Antonio, Texas twice. The pay-per-view, which was originally called Bragging Rights for the previous two years, has been re-named because of the lackluster PPV buys that it has generated in recent years. WWE announced earlier this week at the SmackDown! tapings from San Antonio that the PPV was titled Uprising, but it has since been changed to Vengeance, a name of a PPV the company used from 2001-2007. Vengeance airs October 23, 2011.

SlimJim, which the late “Macho Man” Randy Savage endorsed and appeared in various commercials on behalf of throughout the ’90s, has released the following statement on the death of Savage: “We’re saddened by the loss. Randy was a beloved ambassador for the Slim Jim brand for many years and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.”
