Regarding the possibility of Sting making his debut on World Wrestling Entertainment programming, the latest news I have heard exclusively is that his proposed match with the Undertaker has not been written off as of yet, as many had predicted.
Recently, TNA Wrestling — whom Sting had signed with since his debut with the company in 2003 — removed his profile from the official website of the company, which only fueled rumors that he was going to WWE and that he was a free agent. Since then, we posted that WWE and Sting had not been in contact with each other as of last week, but according to sources I have heard from recently, Sting and WWE have been in contact in regards to a possible match with the Undertaker at WrestleMania. While they are in talks and Sting has not yet signed on with the company, he has still not given a firm no to signing with the company.
As for Sting vs The Undertaker at WrestleMania, it is interesting to note that so many of the major main event matches at the show hinge on his decision to sign with the company or not. If Sting decides against signing with the company, expect Triple H’s return match to be against a returning Undertaker. If Sting was to sign with WWE, however, expect Triple H to face someone such as Sheamus or Corre and/or Nexus members.
