Sting Says Signing With WWE Was ‘Close’, Brock Lesnar On UFC vs WWE

  • Share

The Daily Star in the UK talked to TNA Champion Sting and UFC star Brock Lesnar about turning down offers from WWE to appear at WrestleMania 27. Here are their quotes:

Sting: “I wouldn’t say it was utter nonsense, that’s not true! It’s a dream match that fans would want to see. It was close. I’m glad things turned out the way they did. There are so many variables. Let’s just say that I turned it down for the same reasons I always have. Some- thing in me never trusted what would happen up there, based entirely on the track record with other WCW guys and everything that went on after Vince bought WCW. I wont be watching but I’ll be asking what happened between Undertaker and Triple H.”

Lesnar: “They were smart enough to know that I am deeply involved in UFC, what I am doing now. Wrestling doesn’t affect my life so much. I’m a fighter. The WWE will go on, and it will always be there, but I am in the UFC for as far as I can see. If ever there was an opportunity in the future to be on Wrestlemania, then I guess I have to say: ‘Never say never.’”

Lmfao Sting lives in the Past. Time to move on Sting, WCW is dead and half the talent that did go to WWE had it made. Face the facts and take a look at Goldberg/Rock Feud. They MADE the Rock job harshly to Goldberg to the point Rock was afraid of him, and that was THE ROCK for god sakes. What else does Steve want them to do for WCW Talent? Look at Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho and Booker, they made it quite well during their time besides Booker’s burial during the Invasion. Sting can make up any excuse in the book, but truth is that Vince McMahon knows there is tons of $$$ to be made with Steve Borden and Vince I doubt would risk losing buckets of money just to get some revenge that is already 10 years in the past. Sure, I can see why he didn’t go during the Invasion and all that, point taken, but it’s yesterdays news. Vince has moved on.

Oh well, have fun wasting your time in TNA Stinger….We got the Rock back so I could care less about Sting’s little games atm. Sting will always be a legend, but he is burying his own career by staying with that half assed TNA Company. I bet if he would of signed with WWE, he would of have it made for himself right now. Sting, your only snubbing the fans and yourself.
