One week removed from last week’s Thursday-high episode of TNA Wrestling Impact fell a dramatic 25% in total viewers compared to last week. Last night’s episode (10/27/11) drew an average 1.52 million viewers, down from last week’s 2.02 million viewers.
Among adults 18-49, the demo fell 37.5% from last week’s 0.8 to this week’s 0.5. This is certainly not the number that the company had wanted coming off of last week’s highly-rated episode, but followed last year’s trend of scoring strong ratings following the Bound for Glory pay-per-view and taking a big dip in the week that followed.
It should be noted that the broadcast went head-to-head with an exciting World Series game on FOX, which averaged 21.1 million viewers, the highest rating and most watched World Series game since 2009.
