Thursday’s (April 28, 2011) TNA Wrestling iMPACT! rating on Spike TV scored a cable rating of 1.09, according to sources close to WrestleHeat.com. In addition, the show had an average audience of 1.51 million viewers. The numbers for both demographics are down from last week’s 1.17 rating with 1.730 million viewers. That is down 7% in the household rating and 13% in total viewership. Compared to the average household rating in all of 2011 (a 1.22 rating), that is a drop of 11%. In addition, this marks the lowest rating of 2011, and the lowest rated episode of iMPACT! since December 23, 2010.
However, in defense of the company, TNA went head-to-head against coverage of the NFL draft on ESPN as well as the Lakers at Hornet’s NBA playoff game on TNT. However, the numbers for the NFL and the NBA were not included in the report that we received from our source.
