In an update on our report earlier this week here on WrestleHeat.com regarding the Sting and the WWE signing rumors, which aren’t true, there have been interest from both sides regarding Sting making an appearance on WWE programming, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, but WWE has not reached out to him as of yet. As reported earlier, the feeling is that he will go ahead and re-sign with TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter and her company.
As for the Undertaker’s role now that Sting has been likely ruled out, the original back-up plan involving The Undertaker vs. Wade Barrett has been dropped by WWE creative. The company has come up with a new direction for the Undertaker which they hope will steal the show – it is also slated to involve Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels in a non-wrestling capacity. The new direction doesn’t involve Brock Lesnar at this point.
