According to our sources close to TNA Wrestling, despite our previous story noting that Scott Steiner returned at the Impact Wrestling tapings last week and therefore re-signed with the company, the latest we are receiving is that isn’t the case. Instead, Steiner is working with TNA on a per-night basis.
Management within the company is trying to sign Steiner for a one-year contract, but people close to Steiner are not budging because they feel the offer isn’t strong enough for him to sign. TNA just wants to put the offer on the table and are lobbying for a one-year deal, but the plan is to offer him a two-year contract should Steiner agree to the terms of the contract. Steiner is currently in an angle with Matt Morgan, whom he was scheduled to face at the pay-per-view earlier this month, but didn’t because of contract issues.
