Last night at the TNA Wrestling tapings in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Steve “Sting” Borden returned to the company, after he reportedly signed a new one-year deal with the company. This, of course, comes off the heels of him being heavily rumored by fans to sign with WWE and face the Undertaker at WrestleMania, which, of course, will now not be the case now that he is signed with WWE’s competitor.
Last night on iMPACT!, the company aired a 3-3-11 vignette to close the show that very similar to the 2-21-11 vignettes that WWE has aired over the past few weeks, promoting the Undertaker’s return to the company. Since many fans had assumed that Sting was going to join WWE following the vague vignettes, TNA decided to air their own vignette promoting Sting’s return, which did not turn out as well as they hoped because of the negative feedback sent to Dixie Carter’s Twitter account.
