Although no main event match has been confirmed for next month’s WWE Capitol Punishment event on June 24th, there has been chatter backstage within the company of having the main event feature either the WWE or World Title match take place inside a steel cage.
A site contributor that attended last night’s WWE RAW taping sent word that after the USA Network broadcast feed ended, former WWE Champion Miz came out to the ring to call out Alex Riley, but he never came to the ring. Instead, John Cena would come out and tell him that the crowd in Portland didn’t want to hear him talk, but enouraged him to say “those two words again.. not ‘I’m Awesome’, but ‘I Quit'”. When the Miz refused, Cena then gave Miz an Attitude Adjustment, and Rey Mysterio — who was still in the ring — hit the 619. Cena would then hit the STF, and Mysterio and Cena double teamed him until he said “I quit”.
