Wrestler Files Lawsuit Against WWE, Jimmy Snuka In Need Of Ankle Surgery

Douglas Somerson, best known as “Pretty Boy” Doug Somers in the AWA in the mid-1980s, has filed a lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon claiming that he was entitled to royalty payments for recent DVD releases the featured his matches and likeness, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Somerson was featured a recent DVD releases such this year’s Greatest Cage Matches of All Time, 2010’s Shawn Michaels: My Journey, 2007’s The Shawn Michaels Story – Heartbreak & Triumph, and 2003’s WWE From the Vault – Shawn Michaels.

WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka is in need of a $24,000 surgery to replace his injured ankle, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Former ECW and WWE star Dawn Marie is attempting to organize a fundraiser to replace the 68-year-old’s ankle joint because the legend reportedly is in a poor financial state.
