NXT star Johnny Curtis, who has been taking part in the bizarre cliched backstage vignettes as of late, was set to make his debut on last night’s edition of SmackDown! but ultimately didn’t. Although it wasn’t announced on television, it was announced to the live crowd last week at the tapings and it never made the air because WWE decided to hold off a little longer on his debut. On last night’s SmackDown!, he said that the “writing is on the wall” and a chalkboard near him revealed that he will be debuting next week.
As rumored earlier this week, Sheamus will officially face off against Mark Henry at the SummerSlam pay-per-view one week from Sunday night on pay-per-view. A statement from WWE.com regarding the match announcement read, “Announced exclusively on WWE.com, Mark Henry and Sheamus will collide at SummerSlam in a rivalry that has quickly grown more intense than the summer sun itself. Will the fight of The Celtic Warrior be enough to defeat the meanest “Fella” in the land?”
