With the recent news that WWE Diva Kharma could miss up to 9 months of in-ring action, for a currently unrevealed reason, as well as WWE superstar Big Show requiring time off for knee problems, injuries amongst WWE superstars are starting to take their toll and there is now another name to be added to that list. Speaking on her official Twitter account yesterday, WWE Diva Layla announced that she was scheduled to undergo surgery today, for a torn ACL (Anterior cruciate ligament of the knee) and MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament). Layla noted that she is ready to have the surgery and heal and come back stronger than ever.
Layla’s knee issues had worsened in the past few months, especially coming into her match with Michelle McCool at WWE Extreme Rules, which was a Loser Leaves WWE match. After the match, Layla had her knee looked at, which is why she hasn’t featured that much since the departure of McCool from the company. As standard with a torn ACL and MCL, Layla is facing anything from 6 to 9 months out and we wish the WWE Diva nothing but a successful surgery and recovery process.
