WWE had a survey up where they asked their fans for the upcoming WWE cable network ther thoughts on the possibility of moving pay-per-views to the network and being billed as “monthly specials,” according to the PWTorch.
“This network would include all of WWE’s monthly pay-per-view events to the lineup at no additional cost. Rather than having to pay for them, they would now be monthly specials with the same match quality you’re used to seeing on pay-per-view for no additional cost. These events would only be on The WWE Network,” the survey says.
The survey also tosses around a host of other possibilities, including airing classic footage from promotions like WCW, NWA, ECW and the AWA, non-wrestling shows (such as original dramas and sitcoms), documentaries, WWE talents hosting their favorite movies, repeats of current programming airing on USA Network and SyFy as well as WWE.com originals, new live in-ring shows, a WWE version of SportsCenter, interactive call-in shows hosted by WWE talents (similar to ByteThis in early-mid 2000s), and a reality television series with WWE wrestlers living in a house.
