WWE RAW Rating Drops – Likely Due To Stiff NBA & Reality Competition

Last night’s (5/31/11) edition of WWE RAW on USA scored a 3.1 cable rating with an average of 4.69 million viewers. That was down 9% in the household rating from last week’s 3.4 rating, and down 8% from last week’s 5.1 million viewers.

The show, however, had stiff competition from NBC and ABC — the latter aired the NBA Finals game, which drew a preliminary audience of 12.84 million viewers and a strong 5.5 18-49 demo (up 22% from last year’s game). NBC aired the second hour of the premiere of America’s Got Talent in the timeslot, which drew 16.59 million viewers and a 4.7 demo. The peacock network rounded out their programming at 10PM EST with the singing competition The Voice at 14.37 million viewers and a strong 4.9 demo.
