As announced on last night’s edition of SmackDown!, Sin Cara will be returning from his 30-day suspension at next week’s tapings. However, it is interesting to note that his suspension doesn’t end until August 17th. According to F4WOnline.com, there is talk backstage that developmental wrestler Hunico will be the man behind the mask at the upcoming WWE live events as well as the two editions of SmackDown! — this upcoming Tuesday (August 9) and the Tuesday after that (August 16).
As well documented here on WrestleHeat.com, Sin Cara apparently lied to WWE management about having prescription medication to explain failing the WWE Wellness Policy in June and was given weeks to provide the medication documentation, but ultimately never did. He was then suspended weeks after he was found failing the Wellness Policy as well as lying to WWE. At that time, he was not very popular backstage and there was even at one point talk of not bringing him back to the company. That obviously seems to have cooled over for now.
