According to reports flying around, Vancouver, British Columbia – who will host the 2010 Winter Olympics in just four days across the world – has formed a Bid Comittee to attempt to bring World Wrestling Entertainment’s sports entertainment phenomenon WrestleMania to the city. Apparently, they are looking for the event to take place in either in 2013 or 2014.
This year, the 26th annual WrestleMania will take place in Glendale, Arizona in the University of Phoenix Stadium in late March. It was announced at the beginning of the month that WrestleMania 27 will emanate from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia.
The WWE event has long been considered the “Super Bowl” of professional wrestling and regularly brings in fans from all 50 states in the United States as well as countries from all over the world every year. This is particularly the reason why many cities fight for the right to host the event every year.
