During tonight’s WWE RAW, after WWE Champion Sheamus came out to interrupt RAW Guest Host and NASCAR driver Carl Edwards in an in-ring promo, we were treated to a rare appearance by ECW Champion Christian. After making jokes about Sheamus’ looks, the ECW Champion announced that once ECW on SyFy signs off the air next week, all the superstars currently on the brand will become “free agents” and will be welcomed to join any of WWE’s other brands. The ECW Champion noted during the interview, “it seems like all of my peeps on RAW miss me,” possibly foreshadowing Christian joining the brand when WWE takes ECW off the air next week. It still remains to be seen what will happen with Christian’s ECW Championship, but at this point, it does look like Christian will be soon joining the RAW brand.

In regards to ECW superstars becoming free agents, this confirms rumors that the show replacing ECW will primarily consist of up-and-coming WWE superstars that will most likely be called up from WWE’s developmental program Florida Championship Wrestling. The television show, as mentioned previously, will be called “WWE NXT”.
