According to a report by St.Augstine.com, former WWE and TNA Wrestling star Travis “Tyson” Tomko, was arrested Tuesday morning on a felony robbery charge. He was booked at 5:36AM.
Tomko was last seen performing for TNA a little over a year ago, before he parted ways with the company in August of 2010.
TMZ later reported that the 38-year-old was arrested in Florida after law enforcement found out that he was injecting himself with stolen pain medicine while hiding inside the bathroom of Chili’s restaurant.
The report goes on to say that a pharmacist accused the wrestler of robbing a CVS Pharmacy of 210 tablets of Oxycodone on Monday, and that if he didn’t get the tablets, he would arrested him. Tomko is denying the clais.
Police then say that the wrestler then headed to the Chili’s restrauant where he spent 30-40 minutes injecting 178 “crushed up and melted down” pills into his system in the restroom. Police then tracked him and arrested him on a robbery charge. Tomko allegedly told police that he has a “severe drug problem.”
One officer claimed that Tomko had “needle marks and blood running down his arm and that he flushed something down the toilet before police were able to spot it. Shortly afterward, he was taken to the hospital and was transported to the nearby jail at St. Johns County Jail with a bond set at $7,500.
